If your surgery requires iv sedation, do not eat for 6 hours prior to your surgery time.

If your operation is scheduled  before noon,  it is best to not eat or drink after midnight.


Please let us know if you are diabetic , and we can advise you accordingly.

If you are on a baby ASA , please stop it 10 days prior to surgery

If you are on Coumadin,  please let Dr Deans know and we can advise you on what to do prior to surgery.

If you are on Plavix,  you will need to ask your Family Doctor , if you can stop it 1  week prior to surgery. Let our office know if you cannot stop it .

Bring a driver as you will not be allowed to drive home from the hospital

Bring your medications  with you and wear loose clothing and a buttoned shirt or blouse
