At one week after surgery, most of the stitches begin to dissolve. The wound will be red, raised and irregular for the next 6 weeks or so. It will also feel tight when you blink and slightly tender . The lashes will fell numb for about 6 months and the feeling comes back as the nerves grow in. You do not need to use any special ointments  on the incision as it will heal by itself. Over the following 6 months , the incision will gradually soften, and thin out and fade away. It should hardly be noticeable after 6-8 months.
